Select which channels are eligible to receive conversion credit for web conversions shared with Google Ads

Introduction:

In an effort to
provide more control and flexibility to advertisers, Google Analytics 4 has
introduced a new feature that allows you to select which channels receive
conversion credit for web conversions shared with Google Ads. This feature
enables you to determine whether Google paid channels or both paid and organic
channels should be eligible for conversion credit. This blog post explores the
benefits of this feature and provides a step-by-step guide on how to adjust the
settings.

Google Ads now
offers two channel eligibility options for conversion credit:

 a) Google paid
channels: Only Google Ads paid channels are eligible to receive conversion
credit. Any conversions driven by non-Google paid channels will not be
attributed to.

 b) Paid and
organic channels: With this option, both paid and organic channels are eligible
to receive conversion credit. However, it’s important to note that only the
conversion credit assigned to Google Ads channels will appear in your Google
Ads accounts.
